  • FEMA PrepTalk released a new video (20 AUG 19) called Daniel Homsey's "Neighborfest - Building Resilience from the Block Up!"  https://www.fema.gov/news-release/2019/08/20/preptalk-released-daniel-homseys-neighborfest-building-resilience-block
    • Wow, along with the series we have been discussing; Left of Bang, the book; this is a great motivational video for those who have been working on energizing their family, friends and neighbors to action.
    • My best advice is to watch the video and become familiar with the FEMA PrepTalk series here:  https://www.fema.gov/PrepTalks
    • A San Francisco based program that I am going to emulate on my block.  We have a loosely put together a neighborhood watch that we (I) call The DEL Alliance.
    • This helps to tie in our CERT training, communication work, any neighborhood watch efforts you might have thought worthy are part or could very easily be incorporated into your block party.
    • I will keep you informed concerning the traction we have implementing a plan and execution and I may ask for some help!
